My Garmin Nuvi 785T came with a traffic receiver (GTM 20) that somehow came apart and the parts were lost (?grandson?). It wouldn't charge the Nuvi, but the traffic receiver worked. I ordered this item from Amazon, hoping to disassemble it and use parts (because the replacement GTM 20 was $88 to $120). When it arrived I unscrewed the top, removed the "spacer ring" and the fuse, then put them into the GTM 20. I then screwed the top from the ordered item into the GTM 20. The fit was very tight and threads perhaps slightly different...but IT WORKS.





Prior to taking it apart, I had tested it for charging the Garmin and it worked fine for that as well. Very pleased with the money saved and the results.

The original equipment cable that came with my Nuvi 760 was surprisingly flimsey and broke after two years of pretty light use. So far, this one is a perfectly adequate replacement, but it will be a while before I know if it's better (or worse) than the original.

I bought this cable because my Garmin 800 series cradle was broken, and product description said I could connect this cable to my GPS directly. Cable is not compatible with the GPS, even though it says on the packaging that it is. It does look like it should connect to the cradle, but I don't have one. I will have to spend more money to buy either a different cable or a cradle in order to be able to charge my GPS in the car. Right now I have no use for this product.

I broke my other lighter connector for my Garmin. This replacement is exactly what it was supposed to be and worked fine. Note that it does not have the traffic receiver in it (nor does it claim to have it). I don't have the traffic subscription so it didn't matter to me and, in fact, this was smaller and lighter because of it.

The "charger" looks and feels as if it is just that. However, whenever I plug the device into my Nuvi unit the unit reads it as if it were connected to a computer and attempts to download "data" from my cars cigarette lighter. While doing this the unit never leaves the screen where there is a download bar making the unit inoperable.

I purchased this product to replace broken Garmin Nuvi Navigation power cord. The shipment was great but the product sucks. It works in that it charges the Garmin but it does not allow navigation to be in use when it's charging. I thought there was something wrong with the Navigation but figured out it was the power cord that disables the navigation when its in plugged into the power cord. So when Navigation is unplugged from the charger, the Navigation is operational. Otherwise, when in charge mode it gives you a black screen with picture of it being charged.





Don't get this charger if you want to your navigation charging and be operational at the same time.





If I had known this, I wouldn't have wasted my money purchasing this.





Now, I have to go out an buy a new one because it's too inconvenient.

I was really impressed with how quickly the cable showed up. I didn't have many expectations since I didn't think it would work. THIS IS NOT THE CANON CABLE. This is a RIPOFF. It is just the normal USB cable that you find with USB accessory/peripheral. I am so mad that I ordered and waited 10 days for this ....wasted all this time. The Canon cable is supposed to have a USB at one end and a really miniature mini USB at the other end. Does not work with ANY SDXXX series cameras.



Even the invoice specified USB111-A cable without any mention of the the Canon USB IFC-400PCU cable that I had ordered.
