The "charger" looks and feels as if it is just that. However, whenever I plug the device into my Nuvi unit the unit reads it as if it were connected to a computer and attempts to download "data" from my cars cigarette lighter. While doing this the unit never leaves the screen where there is a download bar making the unit inoperable.

I purchased this product to replace broken Garmin Nuvi Navigation power cord. The shipment was great but the product sucks. It works in that it charges the Garmin but it does not allow navigation to be in use when it's charging. I thought there was something wrong with the Navigation but figured out it was the power cord that disables the navigation when its in plugged into the power cord. So when Navigation is unplugged from the charger, the Navigation is operational. Otherwise, when in charge mode it gives you a black screen with picture of it being charged.





Don't get this charger if you want to your navigation charging and be operational at the same time.





If I had known this, I wouldn't have wasted my money purchasing this.





Now, I have to go out an buy a new one because it's too inconvenient.

I bought this as a spare battery for my new Canon digital camera. The battery costs a fraction of what the store where I bought the camera wanted to charge me for an extra battery. I've been using it, along with the original battery, for about a month now. The battery life seems good and it fits the charger and camera perfectly. The only complaint, a very small one, is that that battery is very slightly thinner than Canon's so the end cap, to protect the contacts, is loose and falls off. I just put them together in a small plastic bag to keep the contacts from accidently shorting on anything.

Instead of paying $40-60 for the Canon-brand rechargeable battery for my Canon G10 camera, I got this one. It works perfectly. I see no difference between it and the Canon battery. Both last for around 400-500 pictures between charges.



I bought it in combination with the third-party-branded "Adorama PT-33 AC/DC Rapid 8.4 volt Battery Charger for Canon NB7L Batteries" which is smaller, lighter, and a fraction of the cost of the Cancon charger.



I have no hesitation recommending this battery and charger to others. And, for the price, I'm going to buy a second pair as a back up!

I purchased two battery packs for an old 20D a long time ago. They were great at first but after a month or so, both aftermarket products died (didn't hold a charge for more than an hour or two of shooting). The Chinese batteries are not made with non-memory building Li-ion technology like the OEM Canon versions. Yes, they're way cheap and you get what you paid for. Don't take my word for it. Do some research - there is plenty of evidence to support my claim. In the end, you'll be throwing them away (please recycle them when you do!). I'm not making a plug for Canon; rather, buy well-made OEM products and not aftermarket. Most OEM batteries come with a ltd warranty, so if they go bad w/in a few months, you may be able to have them replaced by the manufacturer.

I have had this battery about a week and used it every day. Works great and still fully charged. Pleased beyond words.



I have had nothing but problems with the Canon battery that came with my new camera. After a dozen photos it would go dead. After sitting fully charged in my camera for a week unused would be dead when I wanted to use it. I seldom used my camera because of this. Canon charges around [...]60 bucks for the same battery-just has their name on it. Can't go wrong at this price.
