This is much better then the Generic ink I had been using and I am very happy. The ink came quickly and without any problems.

This product is exactly what I needed. It came on time and in 'new' condition.

With gas prices these days, might as well buy them online. I ordered 3 of them with Amazon and got them within 2 days - pretty good. If you buy 3 or more, you get the free shipping which also saves money.

This ink works great with Canon printer. Unfortunately this is the ONLY ink that works great with a canon printer. Any other ink I tried produce terrible result. So, basically if you own Canon printer you stuck with this ink, which can be a little less expensive. I gave 4 stars because the price is a bit high.
By NYC R.W. (NY, US)
If you use your printer to print photos, use original Canon ink. Works great and color is accurate.

I'm using this to print postcards and while the quality seems good the black text I printed still smudges after 4 days of "drying". I may have printed on the wrong side but as I need to print both sides, this is an issue for me and I will have to find another product.
I thought this would be a slam dunk since I am using my Canon Pixma printer but no go and couldn't find any support for the paper on their consumer site.

WELL I MUST SAY I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THIS PAPER AND BUY IT OFTEN. WE DO SOME WEDDINGS AND WE USE THIS PAPER FOR MOST ALL OUR PRINTS. THE QUALITY IS VERY EXCEPTABLE, THE PRICE IS IN KEEPING WITH MOST PEOPLES BUDGET ALLOWING US TO GIVE THEM AN AMAZEING PHOTO ALBUM WITH MOSTLY ALL 8X10 PICTURES INSTEAD OF THE USUAL 4X6. WE ALSO DO 4X6 BUT WE USE THE PHOTO GLOSSY II PHOTO PAPER SO THE NEWLY WED COUPLE CAN FILL UP THEIR PHOTO ALBUMS WITH THE 4X6 SLOTS. WE WILL CONTINUE TO BUY THIS PAPER.

Pleased with the product, the vendor, the price...
BUT, THE PACKAGING WAS NOT GOOD ENOUGH TO PREVENT THE PHOTO PAPER PACKAGE FROM BENDING.

Buying this was my first adventure in using name brand photo paper. Although I've owned a Canon Pixma 6000D printer for several years, I'd been using glossy and semi-gloss knock-off brand photo paper to save money on my many printing projects. After deciding to spring for the manufacturer's paper, I was thrilled to discover that this paper produces vivid photo prints every time. The matte finish means almost instant drying, and no smudges or streaks. For the extra money, I save time and avoid the frustration of having to tweak the printer settings to accomodate the knock-off brands. The one disadvantage of matte paper I've encountered is that you need a very sharp blade in your rotary trimmer to avoid the slight fraying of the edges that will occur with a dull blade. A dull blade is more forgiving on glossy and semi-gloss, since they have a plastic-like coating, but as long as your blade is sharp, this matte paper will give you excellent prints that trim like a charm!

I love this printer. I purchased this printer from Amazon back in February 2009 when it was an absolute STEAL for $69.99 - a shockingly amazing price for how awesome this printer is. I've used this printer for all of my wedding invitations (100 invitations and reply postcards on cardstock) and received SO many compliments - everyone thought they were professionally done. Nope! Just done on my little $70 printer. I was worried it would overheat or something with all of the invitations and cardstock, but it held up so nicely.
Now that it's over $100 dollars more on Amazon (as of this review it's $179.00) I would say it's still totally worth it. I've also used it for photo copies and scanning - both also great functions with great quality. Everything works great and is fast. This printer is easy to use and looks great. I would recommend this to everybody!
By LU DING
I just using it as a scanner. It has the best function I've never seen before which can scanner a book as one pdf fire and just using one button.

I've been wanting to purchase this unit... have it on my 'Wish List'. Been tracking the Amazon price(s) waiting till the cost falls below mfg suggested ($99.99).
Checked today... Price $126.95!
Checked the Canon website, price $99.99
Sorry Amazon... ya lost my biz on this one.

Printer is easy to set-up and use. Initial page printed is a little slower than other printers I had in the past. Print quality is very good.
By James Ellis
For the money, this is a dandy home printer for the non demanding. It gets the job done. I've tried printing 8x10 pictures, and I saw about what I expected. If I want higher quality pictures printed, I need to spend more money, end of story there. But for basics, it's just fine. Use the larger cartridges though. It is a tad thirsty, but not unreasonably so.

I've been using Canon printers happily since the very first Bubble Jet. Over the years I learned how to use bulk ink, relatively inexpensive non-OEM cartridges, etc. I've used a few HP printers, but they always seemed to develop hardware or other problems after a year or so. So I picked up the ip2600 for general use, mainly in my home office, where I simply want something to print documents (usually in fast mode greyscale). Occasionally something in color. When I want to do prints I use an ip3500, in the basement, which does a much better job.
This printer will take you to the poor house. It goes through these tiny and over-priced chipped cartridges at a stunning rate. The overall quality is pretty good. Not brilliant, but certainly passable. But, holy cow, Canon has joined the rip-off ranks. So, now this one goes to the basement for emergency purposes only. Come on guys, if you're going to do these chipped cartridges, at least make them with decent capacity at a fair price.
By Jon A. Hupp (Annapolis, MD USA)
These printers are so inexpensive that I actually have 4 of them in my home. Great for kids computers (low volume) and as a 2nd color printer for those of us with a high volume black and white laser. How can you go wrong for less than $50?
By M. Lai
I was needed a printer for quick jobs at home and purchased this machine because it seemed stylish. It has been a wonderful saver given space issues in my home. When the top and tray fold up (which is very quick to do, this sits like a nice black box on top of my desk. It is unobtrusive. I can easily stack stuff on top of it if I need the space.
The printing is quite nice, though the ink is expensive. I would definitely not suggest getting the ink from anywhere other than an authorized dealer. I have tried to get the ink on-line a few times, but have ended up with cartridges that have so little ink that it is not worth the money. I have since decided to only get ink from Staples, where I can be sure that they are not putting some fractional amount in and sending it to me. I use to have an HP and would have no problem finding ink on-line, so this is a bit unique to the cannon 40/41 vendors.
Print quality is what you would expect at $50. It does the job for office work, but obviously if you are a photographer and need the highest in quality pictures, than you should probably pay up for some of the fancier printers. However, if you just need an occasional print job that can be a reasonably grainy, this will do the trick (I sometimes print CD covers with it. It's fine).

While went to buy the Ink for my HP Photosmart printer, I noticed this printer from Canon for just $30 and bought this one without any second thought ($30 is way cheaper than the HP inks). Installation went without an issue on my Vista PC, and I am not finding printing speed an issue. So far so good.
I prefer to stay with Canon than HP for following reasons.
1) HP uses color ink even when choosing black printing. Though I print black and white prints, but HP makes me to buy color inks more often than b&w
2) HP expires the ink after some period. HP wants to generate constant money flow, but IMO this is not a way to do.
Thanks
Suriya.

While I'd never try to use such a printer for work use, this is a perfect printer for the home and home office that prints a couple of pages per day. The price is low, and the quality can be adjusted for reasonably high DPI. Photos, once the beads have settled into the photo paper, leave no streaks and it has an interface you can run to fine tune print head alignment.
As for ink, you know what you're getting. Of course these things go through ink. I'm still on my original cartridges, and on the 2nd fill for each one. Get a refill kit (I got 4 oz of each color and 8 oz black) and call it good. Use a tool called "IPTool.exe" (I use version 1.1.5) to reset the color counters of the cartridge.
If you dried the cartridge out (or one color out) you can still refill it, and then run the deep head cleaning from the native software to get it working again. IPTool.exe can reset the software counter for that color on the cartridge, and you're back in business.
I've basically spent about $55 for the printer, and $39 for a refill kit that may last me the life of the printer if the jets hold out. So far the color cartridge went dry once, and running back to back deep-cleans fixed everything.

Alway happy with my canon ink, because it works the best with my canon printer
By D. Barnes (Portsmouth, VA USA)
I have owned 4 Canon inkjet printers, and have a lot of experience with the individual ink tank system Canon uses. I can say with confidence that the BCI-6 and BCI-3 series ink tanks can print quite a bit longer than the software tells you they can. Once all the ink in the reserve tank (not in the sponge) is used up a sensor sends an "Ink Low" message to the software, which then starts counting pages. Whether or not you actually use that color much for the next X number of pages you will still get an "Out of ink" error and a warning that you could damage your printer if you continue to print. Take the ink tank out and visually inspect it. In most cases you can just hit the "Continue" button (or its equivalent on your printer model) and print several more pages (depending on size and whether you're printing photos or on plain paper). Just be sure to visually inspect the tank every few pages because you don't want it to run completely dry, that could indeed damage your print head.
I have been using a Canon i9900 for over 2 years and printed hundreds of photos and 11x17 high-resolution pages, and have never had the print head clog using Canon ink. It's definitely worth it to buy your printer manufacturer's ink, whether you use a Canon, HP, Lexmark, Epson...

This paper works very well for my photo printing needs. I've used it with my Canon PIXMA MX860 Wireless All-In-One Photo Printer, and I'm very happy with it. It's not quite as glossy as the Canon Photo Paper Plus Glossy II, 4 x 6 Inches, 100 Sheets (2311B023), but it works quite well for what I need.
One thing I really appreciate about this paper is that while one side is glossy, the other is basically like card stock, so you can write notes on the back of photos, or you can fold your photos to use them as cards. This is good quality paper, for a very good price. I'm very happy with this, in the 4 x 6 and other sizes. It covers all of my home photo printing needs.
By George Heiser (Clymer, New York)
I cannot compare the Canon Glossy Photo Paper with any other brands as I've not used any other brands. But I have a Canon Pixma MP160 printer and all I can say is that the printer, the Canon Ink and paper produce excellent pictures very reminiscent of my days of youth in taking the Kodak film to the drugstore to be developed and then returning home with keepsake memories. Follow the instructions on the box and for the printer and you will get excellent pictures.
By Edward Murdoch (Tifton, Georgia)
THIS PRODUCT APPERS TO BE AS GOOD AS ANY 4 X 6 GLOSSY PHOTO PAPER THAT I'VE TRIED - SOME OF IT WAS MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE - WHY PAY MORE IF YOU'RE NOT GETTING MORE?

Love this paper, will only use canon products with my photo printer and this one is just as all the others, fantastic. and a great price too.
