Had it 2 days and it slides all over the dash. There is nothing underneath that is tacky or in anyway going to stop this from sliding around. Used it for my Radar and it's slid to the floor twice...going in the garbage. Waste of my money!

I had purchased this brand of GPS mounting pad several years ago and it's been excellent. It rests firmly on the instrument panel, holds the suction cup GPS mount firmly, does not vibrate when traveling, and does not move even during sudden braking. It's easy to store under the seat or in the center console. I bought this one for a friend even though there are less expensive friction pads. I knew what I had and chose not to try another for a few dollars savings.

I originally got this for the wife but after seeing it and having my windshield mount fall a few times, I stole it.





It works well. Normal to slightly aggressive turns (on clover leafs to test it out) it holds it's place.





every now and then I noticed it moved forward and likely to fall (2-3 days), just a quick push back and all it good again. (this is probably do to me removing my phone)





The only real negative I see and this is unavoidable is that it is black and my phone is black so the phone gets very hot while driving in the sun. However, I won't want another color since I have a black interior.





TIP: speaking of black interiors. I hate the white ezpass in my new black car. I taped up the white tag (with the numbers) and spray painted the ezpass black. Then got some black velco tape and put it up the top right of the window. It blends in perfectly and works perfectly. hope this helps.





Summary: to regrets buying this item and I recommend it ... even if you live in a state were it is not required.

You wouldn't think that this friction mount would stay put because the bottom of it, while slightly sticky, does not prevent you from picking the mount straight up off the dashboard. But, once you really press into the base to make sure it has good contact with the dashboard, it really does its job. I've passed the mount between mine and my boyfriend's car on multiple occasions and it never has an issue with sliding around. The Garmin is safely in place, and at a great height for viewing without disrupting your view of the road. Overall, great product and worth the money!
