We are a Garmin Family and own two (purchased by my daughter and son) Garmin Nuvi Model 200s, My son and daughter were so pleased with their purchases I decided to purchase the newer model 205 and have not been disappointed. In addition to the terrific price I got on Amazon, I've found the unit lived up to everything my son and daughter said it would. Ease of use, quick on the signal pick-up and very clear distinct voice directions. The one thing I do see it wanting is the option to choose local vs. highway routing. Otherwise extremely pleased with my purchase. It very definitely was worth the price.

For the money, I don't see how you can beat this unit. My only con is that the maps were not up to date in the unit. I am not sure whether or not they can be updated free on the initial setup. I know there are more recent maps available because I upgraded the maps in a similar unit recently.

Bought this for a trip to L.A. Knew we could get a GPS with our rental, but figured it wouldn't cost much more to have around. Was a great product. Loved being able to sight see without having to stress over a map or whether or not we made a right/wrong turn. Other handy feature was ability to turn off highways so we could avoid some of the traffic in L.A. Actually had a local with us in the car and used that feature and he was blown away at how much quicker we made a rush-hour trip by taking a few side roads.
Didn't think we'd use it other than when we travel, but my wife has actually pulled it out for her work (she is a sales rep) and loves the feature to search for restaurants.
Great product. No regrets on the purchase.
