 "Forerunner Rocks!" 2010-03-25

By Timothy Gaunt (Jacksonville, Florida)

This is so much more than a watch. It is your training buddy, your coach, your cheerleader and more.

Simple enough to pull out of the box and go or you can learn the workout features and push yourself to new limits. Multiple data screens provide instant feedback if you want. The map feature is helpful if you are running in a new area and need to get back to your original location.

If you haven't used a HRM before give it a try. You will unlock new dimensions in your workouts. It is great to see progress over time where your AVG HR will drop 5 BPMs for the same workout.

A running buddy has the 405 version which is a little smaller, but I prefer this watch because the screen is easier to ready.

I may suggest the 310XT for multisport athletes, since it is waterproof.

The fastwrap wrist strap is worth the money as well.

 "Garmin Forerunner" 2010-03-25

By K. Bick (Charlo,Montana)

It was so easy to use right out of the box. I use it for running and biking. It finds the satelites fast. You can easily switch between workouts. You do need to have it charged before a big outing. Also the reading for the heart monitor is very small. But overall I love it.

 "**No REAL CALORIE counter**" 2010-03-24

By Aztec_ _ Mercenary

So I purchased this item and absolutely loved it when I went on my runs, BUT, I took a spin class today and spent my short breaks trying to get the calorie counter to start and had no luck. It is a great RUNNER watch. It is NOT so great for someone who Cross trains with other workouts that would like to see calories burned by simply monitoring our heart beat.

In Short, if all you do is run this is the watch for you. If you cross train I would go for the Garmin FR60 (which is my replacement for this one). First review, hope it helps.

"Excellent Product - Keep an eye on price fluctuations" 2010-03-23

By R. McLoughlin (East Coast, US)

Great product! Does exactly what i need it to do.

Isnt as a large on your arm as you'd think and I barely noticed it on my first run. The heart rate monitor (HRM) strap is very comfortable and also not noticable.

I wouldn't use the Garmin software as there are plenty of better programs for free on the web.

Only word of caution is watch for price fluctutions - it can get as low as $120-130 and as high as $220. It changes all the time on here so just keep an eye on it for a while and when you get a feel for the trend then make your purchase! You will not be disappointed!

"Be Careful About the Seller" 2010-03-23

By Stewart Berman (New York City)

AllAbout Electronics will advertise that they have items in stock when they don't. Amazon does not provide a way to note failure to deliver when the seller cancels an order. The order disappears from your order history so there isn't anyway - other than posting a review - to rate the seller after they fail to deliver.

Please note that this is not a review of the product but of the seller.
