I love my Canon printer for printing pictures and I like the bargain I received when buying this ink. It was somewhat confusing initially because the same seller did not come up initially, so the product did not qualify for Amazon's free shipping, but I continued to search until I found a seller I used previously.

for selling these Canon inks at the lowest price around. The inks for the MP980 are expensive, and the ink in these cartridges does seem to run out quite fast (my reasons for rating 4 of 5 stars). I need to order more cartridges for my printer (so to have an extra supply on hand when needed), and I notice that today's price for the CLI-221 4-pk is a few bucks lower than what I paid 3 weeks ago. If Amazon can go even lower on their Canon CLI ink prices, I would be most ecstatic!
And by the way, I do love my Canon PIXMA MP980 printer. Photos turn out great, and text printing has been superb. Compared to my old printer (bought 5 yrs ago), this MP980 prints at a very fast speed. Also love the auto-duplex feature. I also use my MP980 as a scanner and photocopier and have no complaints. I haven't used the scanner to scan negatives or slides yet, but can't wait to do so. My only hope is that the quality of scanned negatives/slides is pretty darn good. I've always been partial to Canon photo products-cameras, etc.-and this MP980 printer does not disapoint me. I would definitely buy another Canon printer.
And, I will definitely keep buying my inks from Amazon...best prices (so far) and very fast shipping. Every product ordered through Amazon for the last 10 months has arrived as expected (except for one item, though wasn't fault of Amazon), and the packaging & shipping of products has been just superb.

I have the MP980 which is one of the printers this box is supposed to be for --- but the printer says it requires a grey cartridge. There isn't one in here. There is a black that will fit there - hope that works. If I'm spending the additional money on Canon ink, I'd like my Canon ink to Canon printer instructions be clearer.

This is a great printer and I love the way it handles envelopes. The ink however is a different story. It is the classic ripoff, the tanks are too small and do not last very long. Since I received it, I printed two 4X6 photos and a good few text documents and the magenta tank is almost out and the others are about half. It seems to clean itself more then other printers which does waste ink but this is ridiculous. I refuse to get sucked into this. I will just get a laser for my text documents and get my photos done at the store.
