The "Di" design is achieved by applying a new optical design to its coated surfaces, and by further enhancing our already stringent quality control system. When used with APS-C size digital SLR cameras, the lens provides an angle of view equivalent to approximately 44-465mm, covering the standard to ultra telephoto range with no sacrifice of quality or aperture range. Low Dispersion (LD) Low dispersion (LD) glass elements in a lens help reduce chromatic aberration; the tendency of light of different colors to come to different points of focus at the image plane. Chromatic aberration reduces the sharpness of an image, but glass with an extremely lowdispersion index, has less of a tendency to separate (defract) a ray of light into a rainbow of colors. This characteristic allows the lens designer to effectively compensate for chromatic aberration at the center of the field (on axis), a particular problem at long focal lengths (the telephoto end of the zoom range), and for lateral chromatic aberration (towards the edges of the field) that often occurs at short focal lengths (the wide-angle end of the zoom range.) Smith, I love taking pictures, but I do not like carrying lots of equipment, where photography is not the focus of my trip, so I tried to find a goal that was easy, low cost, a useful reference range and decent sharpness in view of the above. I think the Tamron is perfect. Although this goal will not win points with "L'purists of the series, seemed to be a very useful - the lens - and light. Sure, it's slow ... Sure - it has a plastic ... Security - is not so sharp as a lot of goals with price tags less zoom ranges and higher ... But most people are not looking for enlargements, poster size, a goal that will not break your shoulder or your bank account that Tamron is a good fit. I used it for a few weeks now, and compared the results of the excellent Tamron 28-75 2.8 XR Di, Canon 50mm 1.8 8 (the "Plastic Fantastic") and the kit lens is not the tack-sharpness 50mm and 28-75, but it is still very acceptable. The range is the 'wow' you on the lens. Outside in decent light, you can really pull the subject up close. In a photo from the sixth Story taken from a beach hotel, I could clearly read a standard beach umbrella rental sign was about. 500 meters away. Indoors, the lens is simply too slow to be useful at full zoom, but quite good between 28-100mm with built-in flash (just make sure to remove the lens hood or the lower portion of the frame shadow) and even better with an external flash (I using the EX550). Focus is fast and silent in decent lighting, but it will hunt in dark scenes. In short,. If it makes a lens that focuses the sound, an incredible focal length, light weight and compact size at an attractive price, then consider this lens You see, as I assume that you know what the long-held with you behind on your device .. (Note: Tamron also makes this lens for Nikon and Pentax digital SLR for the same price I actually have the Nikon version since I own a D70, but I thought my experience with this objective could help Canon D-SLR users as well. Please produce no flame me!) This new digital SLR Environmental Tamron is a good way to achieving a high quality zoom at a fraction of the cost if the manufacturer of the camera (eg Canon ) purchased. Tamron claims that this world is "the smallest and lightest" zoom zoom range. I have no idea if it's true. It is small and light effect. For me, it's a goal for all plastic, but does so on the basis of objective and Japan, and it feels solid, has all the bells and whistles of a modern lens: the ability of XR, LD, asperical more macros. In real world shooting, I am very pleased with the result, and I do not believe that the purchase of an official goal of Canon would make a big difference. Two things to keep in mind is, 1) until you buy namebrand a lens (Tamron, Sigma and Vivitar maybe) get a good deal, and 2) the marginal increase in quality of the lens (real or imagined) of manufacturer of the camera is extremely unlikely to improve images in any significant amounts. As long as you have a high quality, Tamron capable as this, you are armed with all the equipment needed to not miss the opportunity to outstanding image. A person must not sell single ingredient is your creativity. (Unfortunately, this is what I miss and try to improve.
