Several months before the D90 came out, I bought a D60 a hold on me until the D90 was released. Well, I enjoyed it with two cameras, but it is a huge step up and more suited to an advanced enthusiast, like me. It 's a pleasure to use. ERGONOMICS - The D90 is solid, compact and well balanced with the 18-105 VR lens. She is always ready and shoot really fast. Like all direct-access buttons are easy to press, with good tactile feedback. And since you're not in the menus like many, you can work faster. E 'heavier than the D60, but that's okay. It 's still very easy to carry and it fits my hand better average too. The shutter sounds different than the D60 (if it matters). It 'more like a professional camera, quick as a "swish" of a "click-click." And there are many internal adjustments that can be configured exactly as you wish Lens - The biggest surprise was the 18-105 VR lens which I expected would be boring, but it was very clear and crisp. Better than 18-55 VR. We have indeed come a long way from the time (30 years) if it is always recommended to buy a primary target, not the kit lens because of poor image quality. With computer-aided design and new technology, which is not true anymore. Image quality - I shoot RAW for maximum detail and the ability to adjust the schedule later if necessary - such as exposure and white balance. The picture quality is very good to excellent in terms of their RAW converter. To my eye, is the best result obtained with View NX / Capture NX, Adobe ACR / Lightroom still does a very good job (in 2010 UPDATE: After using Lightroom last year, the raw conversions are beautiful and much faster to do Capture NX). When shooting using standard JPG Image mode, the images are sharp and the colors are true, without saturation, you can always use the picture modes and one of them to adjust the camera closer to desired results. For example, increase the color saturation and contrast and save the settings to default if that is what you want. Light Meters - Metering is good and seems quite accurate in most cases. I use matrix metering most. As with any camera, you must know the meter. If I had to be very critical, I would say if it is fired, is more likely to preserve shadows than highlights, usually when the Active DLighting enabled. For me it's a good thing. Another site mentioned a little over-enthusiastic "meter in its review. The good news: if you really feel the exposure results are not to your liking (either over or underexposed), the meter is set well, so go ahead and as you see fit to adjust. I would just work with the first meter of the camera to learn and adapt before you begin making the adjustments that said, I used the D90 in a wide variety of lighting conditions and can truly say that, although exposure can sometimes vary, they are perfect sense of the situation. I was never shocked or confused by the exit. Live View - is ideal for casual shooting high or low. I do not think it should, but when I had the D60, I found myself in many situations where I really could have used. Unlike a point-and-shoot, the focus is slower in this photograph and it looks a bit awkward. I would not use Live View if I was in a hurry or trying to get an important shot. It's just a nice extra. Movie Mode - this is a nice novelty and can be useful in a rare moment, but I'm not usually a video person. I am surprised to read that some people made films and commercials with the D90. I consider myself promise to use this feature anymore, but I do not have a tripod, and I'm just too nervous and unproductive to get good results as in the films also get off.
