The Rebel T1i Dslr is approximately excellent
If capturing high def video, is vital in your most recent digital camera acquisition, than the Rebel T1i Dslr, is obviously a digital Slr you should consider. If your into capturing high def films, the T1i Rebel should thrill you, with it's thirty frames per second at a recording resolution of 720p, for a whopping maximum recording time of 18 minutes. The D90 Slr does pretty good, but with just five minutes maximum video length, at twenty four Fps.
While the tech specs seem pretty good, real world tests of high def films from the T1i Rebel, lag a bit too much. If you prefer smoother high definition videos, you can swap the Canon Slr Rebel T1i movie setting from 1080p twenty Fps to 720p 30 Fps. It's a good plan to switch to the lower resolution if your running out of room on your warehouse card, or you plan to generate long videos.
The Nikon D90 12.3Mp offers a top level Iso setting of 6,400, whereas the Rebel T1i, has managed to double that form to 12,800. Photographs taken on the Canon T1i Slr, using the maximum Iso of 12,800 will likely be disappointing. It seems that Nikon understands the limits of the D90 Slr, and beloved not to push a ridiculously high Iso of 12,800 on the D90.
Don't rely however on what any one can see on their own. A measured test of images from a Nikon D90 and a Rebel T1i will tell the tale. Canon does their best to cut image noise at higher Iso settings that are gently helpful some of the time.
While developing a high Iso is nice, it's the signal to noise ratio that tells the tale. In this respect, the Nikon D90 wins.
If insist, that the concealed ( swift / silent ) photographer gets the best picture than the Nikon D90 Dx is the tool for you. If you must capture photos in a hurry, without missing your chance, then the Nikon D90 outdoes the Rebel T1i Dslr. To be specific, Dslr camera speed is not just a metric of shutter swiftness. For the Nikon to reach a shoot rate of 4 1/2 frames per second vs the Canon Slr Rebel T1i 3.4, it was also zippier when focusing, zippier when in mirror blackout, and faster with shutter lag.
If being unobtrusive is as crucial to you as it is to me when taking photos, then pay a diminutive more attentiveness to the Nikon D90 12.3Mp. It's shutter mechanism is pretty quiet. While a quiet Dslr may not be a big deal for a Nascar race, it legitimately could be for pro golf tournaments if your in the gallery.
